So you want to know what makes us tick ?

Well we've put together a few Questions and Answers about "us"....

Is this site sponsored by Kawasaki?

No we are completely independent.

Is it run by a dealer?

No the site is run by a single individual who has a passion for both bikes and IT.

As the owner, do you work in the motorcycle industry?

No I work in Information Technology full time for a non commercial organisation. However, many years ago I worked for a publishing house that specialised in motorcycling - both books and magazines.

Does this site cost you money to run it?

Yes, but the costs are reduced as it shares a server with some of my other sites. If the revenue from advertising on the site covers a proportion of the costs then I'm happy. The intention is not to make money.

So why run it?

Many of my sites are developmental sites. The software running in the background is at a developmental stage so the site helps me with some of my work.

Will the site "fall over" then?

Probably not, the software is at an advanced stage already before going live. Even if it did "fall over" we run daily backups so we could recover fairly quickly from a disaster.

Does it cost anything to join?

No its free to Register.

Why join?

Well once we have a few members we restrict the areas available. Many sections become members only, such as the forums. This means we get serious members who are genuinly interested in the bike.

So what do I get out of it as a member?

Well from past experience the forums become a vast source of information that you won't find anywhere else, at least not in one place. For instance, if a few members find they have a problem with their bike, then they can find out in the forums if others have the same issue. Only then do you find out that 50 other people also have the same issue which strengthens your argument against the manufacturer or dealer to get it resolved. In some cases it could lead to a re-call.

But there's more to it than that. Arrange ride-outs with other members etc, anything infact with similar individuals who enjoy the same bike !

Hope that answers a few questions - fill in the Contact Form if you have any more.
