With decent weather protection, eg. DL650 guards, Storms, and so on.

My bike has some Zeta guards, which look good and leave space to adjust the levers etc, but they are definitely sunny sunday/summer only.

Even with the best covering handguards, I've found that my hands will eventually get cold. Heated grips are the easy answer, but if you still want good coverage guards, the KTM SMT ones are very good.  :028:

:152: yep i have the ktm smt ones fitted to my bike .. half the price of barkbusters or kawasaki and a bit more wind coverage ( though they dont have the protection from a fall that the barkbusters have ). i also have heated grips the two combined are great through the winter  :152:

Hi RPG, I have a pair of KTM handguards, which I bought from FoxysVers on this forum but never got round to fitting. Since then I sold the bike, and would part with handguards if you are interested.

Many thanks to Kevlar, I am going to buy his KTM guards.

Is the how-to (linked above) also the same for the Mk1?

do you want to sell the zeta ones?
I'm terrified. We're in a jumbo 747, at an altitude of 30,000ft, going at 500 mph, and the drivers are asleep.
