My wife has been gone all week enjoying her time off of teacher for spring break. She returns tomorrow evening. On Friday her and I are jumping on the big V for our first over night journey. We are heading to East Texas. Should be a nice 600 mile jaunt. I have the bike all loaded, the GPS files updated and I think we are ready to go. I have a couple of observations concerning the bags.

I love the way that they mount. Quick and easy and they are rock solid. I love the look of the bags but the design, does not allow for the best usage of space. Coming off the C-14 and those large bags, I have to get adjusted to packing these new bags. It will be ok, just have to get the most out of the space provided.

The top case is at the dealer, the back rest and color matched panels are as well. The only thing missing is the mounting plate..Doh! we are having to use a tail bag. It does not look to bad and holds our rain gear and tool kit very nicely.

I will update our blog with a ride report when we return. Ride safe everyone!

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm jealous of your centre stand.

Good riding and the bike looks great...especially in the bloody sunshine.

Looking good, Lobo. Have a great time.

I'd been wondering about the shape of those bags for packing. :151: I was spoiled by the bags on my gen 1 Concours which were huge and easy to pack. FJR bags were heavy even empty, difficult to pack, and loved to spill stuff when opened. The V35 Givis for the 650 Versys are the best I've had since the Concours.
