Goodbye and thanks for all the fish
« on: Nov 29, 2015, 01:04 PM »
Finally went and done it after looking at KTM's, BMW's, Ducati's, Triumphs, etc.  I bought a Versys 1000 2016 model (Titanium)  with a trade in of my Versys 650 as part of the deal, the 650 had 31,000 km trouble free while being thrashed to death trying to keep up with mates who have bigger bikes while looking for roads with no speed cameras. Thank you to everyone  :031: on this forum for all their brilliant posts which have been a great deal of help to me when I have had to buy most farcles (there have been many)from overseas. I bought the 650 having been away from bikes for nearly 30 years, thought I would keep it for a year! 3 years on I am sorry to see it go. I don't really mean goodbye to the forum, this is probably the best bike forum on the net! Cheers and ride safe. :152:

Congratulations on the new bike, rob1963. You wouldn't be the only V1k owner to stick with this forum, ya know. Ya could even subscribe to 2, this one and the tediously dull, silently smooth( ) V1k version.

Lovely parting shot that Rob.    See you on the other side as another little V to big V convert.  And most of us still hang around on here :152:

Two weeks in, 1,600 km completed, first service done, loving it.
