Weather
« on: Apr 21, 2016, 04:05 PM »
For last year's NVM, my weather forecast proved to be astonishingly accurate.  So, I'm going to do it again this year.  I'll be pulling together the weather chart once we're 336 hours from the event, but in the meantime, the overall UK forecast is for weather systems to develop over the Atlantic in mid-May potentially resulting in 'unsettled' weather.  This is expected to be particularly true in the north and west with more stable weather in the south and east.

Between 2000 and 2012:

The Average daytime high temperature for Moffat in May was 14C and average nighttime low temperature is 6.  For late May, temperatures are typically in the range 15C to 7C

Average rainy days for Moffat in May is 15 (the driest month of the year in terms of days) with an average rainfall of 4.6cm.
Ride as if your life depended on it.

 This could be really interesting.

Lots of fun, sky watching and working with the systems.

Was riding through hailstones yesterday in Northumberland. Expect the worse and any good weather is a bonus.  :002:
