Much looking forward to the pics and lies  :2:.

UPDATE:

Bike wouldn't start at all this morning.  Cranked fine, but wouldn't fire.  Mechanic came and collected in van.  Just spoken to him.  Last night he sourced a (used) throttle body.  He has removed the malfunctioning throttle body and will replace the entire thing.  Chances are, it's just the sensor, or even a dodgy connection somewhere, but rather than trying to troubleshoot, my mechanic has agreed to push back other jobs and go ahead and replace the throttle body.

The part hasn't arrived yet, but tracking says that it's out for delivery.  It'll be 30mins-1hr to fit, so best that I can hope for is a 3pm departure, which will get me to Moffat by 9pm'ish (assuming no more dramas).

I'm not going to be there.

The throttle body didn't arrive until just before 5pm.  The mechanic offered to stay late and fit it for me, but it'd be 5:30pm-6:00pm before he was done, then I'd have to get home and load up the bike.  Chances are, I wouldn't be on my way until 7pm which would mean arrival in Moffat at around 1am!

I suppose that I should be grateful really.  A month ago, I was still unsure if I'd be fit and healthy enough to attend.  Thankfully, I am doing well on that front.  I suppose that a bike failure is a small irritation in the grand scheme of things.

But ... I'm completely gutted!  I've been looking forward to this for a long time.
