it probably will be ok, but why bother, the bike only takes 2 litres, I get good quality Shell semi synthetic for 6.50 a litre, so do you intend to put the old back in with new when you change it.....with a new filter..clean new oil will be better.....unless you are thinking of using it to top up, but I doubt you'll need to, my bike (with 40k mls) doesn't use a drop between changes




use it in your car, or on the garden gate hinges.....or on your chain....whatever... :028:

so just hijacking this old thread.

so cold and pissing wet this morning ... oil light on the way to the station  ...

ignored it and hoped it would go away  ...

I did wash the salt off the bike yesterday  .. and so perhaps the sensor was wet as was mentioned

rode home later and no oil light on

(not oil folks)

anyone point me at this sensor that was mentioned in the thread  below ?
