He is very "experienced" so I was doing the nice thing.
Which bike?
The Fazer will be just fine.
The Versys will probably cope.
The new push bike will hopefully be in the same box that it currently resides within.

Black Mountain Road is good, very scenic, but probably not the most challenging tbh.
The military Road is good fun and usually fairly quiet, but watch out for tanks and best avoided if the red flags are up, or you may become target practice for someone.
You have to do the Devil's Staircase and this is much more a Versys road, a couple of sharp hairpins to start, then a long, slow, steady climb, narrow in places, but only like a Lakeland, or Peak District road.

Richard, get onto Dallewed on the Tiger 800 site for info and route advice he's just south of the Brecons, a Cardiff man and goes out round these parts a lot with Cardiff TOMCC, top bloke and has taken us out along these roads several times now  :028:
Just passin' through

Steve

1. Rather than the Black Mountain (Top Gear) road we are doing the more scenic / less busy Aberystwyth to Rhayader Mountain Road  :biker1:

2. Could do that if time and weather / Military Road Closure allow us  :notsure: :028:

3. Yes we are doing that twice  :007:  :007: :007:  :38:
