The Up the Pole bit is quite evident. But is it cause or consequence?  :lostit: .

Good point.  :008: A safe way to do it is to attend the NVM the week after everyone else

One other thing ... are any of the members on the attendance list (or otherwise) riding down down from the Chesterfield area? Would be nice to ride down with others.
Life is like riding a bike, itís all about balance and momentum, hesitate and stop and youíll fall off!

Versaki,

Regarding spotting us in the campsite, don't worry about that...the Versys's will give us away! Regarding making a little Versonaut zone, given that I'm a horrible snorer I try to distance myself in order not to get punched on the first morning.

As for possible riding partners, try PMing our kid (Paul0101) is riding down from Scunny and will be razzing past Chesterfield en route. I'm sure he won't mind if you do a Peak District diversion. He might also be riding with another lad so that'll make a nice little group.

All the best and look forward to meeting up. Don't worry it's all very informal (as I'm organising it) so you can pick and choose who, what where and when you do stuff...except the main ride of course.

Just booked the camping at the Ross Rowing club. £15 for 2 nights.  :015:
The main campsite in the town wanted silly money ( As Sunderland Dave pointed out) and got "not so great reviews".  :027:

Sorry, gents, just cancelled my booking. Doesn't seem like either the V or myself will be in a fit state. Muscles in my side have been playing up for weeks, so I haven't touched the bike since I put it away covered in salt in January. It's looking very rough, chain rusty, brakes seized and fork seal leaking... and I haven't been able to sort it. Getting better now, but probably too much planned in the next few weeks to get to it. if I get it/me going in the meantime I might ride up on the Saturday, but not looking likely. Have a good time!

Sorry to hear that Strumpet, most importantly I hope you get yourself well and fit again real quick. The bike can wait. I am sure there will be other ride outs planned in the future by this great forum. Get well soon  :028:
