Cross referencing er6 exhaust for v650
« on: Jan 20, 2018, 03:04 PM »
Any reason this shouldnt fit the 2018 v650 ?

Anyone tried one ? I like the can style as it's similar to the scorpion one,but for the money, it's got the be worth a shot if it should go one.

Look at this on eBay

no balance pipe between the headers, you'll lose bottom end power
silencer length is way shorter than the std Kawasaki silencer, you'll lose top end power.
what's to lose  :187:

I'm more bothered about the fit than the points you make.

If you look at most aftermarket items for the er6/Versys the cans as very small or non existent, and the headers have no link pipes.

Close but no cigar  :138:
No balance pipe = you'll lose the better bottom end power that the V has over the ER6 as cams are more mildly tuned.
Short pipe = you'll lose bottom end /midrange power
A long effective pipe length is what you need for torque. That's why all the supertwins have short pipes to boost the top end  :028:

Yes it should fit, but check the engine head ports to downpipe fitment as these I believe  :notsure: these have changed on the later year er6 / V engine types  :027:

edit

The Fitment down in the main body of the text says it does fit the Mk2 V from 2012 to 2016
If so it will then fit the Mk1 V  :028: :028:

Richard  :001:

Lots of the best supertwins run long pipes,as long pipes give top end,but I'm not interested in the effect of the pipe, just if it will fit. The balanced pipes are not fitted on any aftermarket pipe I've seen either.
