To Buy or Not to Buy...
« on: Feb 20, 2018, 09:42 PM »
That is the question.

I currently have a Bandit 1250 which has been a fantastic servant and has never put a foot wrong.

But...my wife has recently passed her test.  She has bought a Ninja 650.

Therefore, do I really need to lug around so much heavy metal?

Took a V650 out today and loved it.  It was so light and flickable compared to the Bandit.  There was less power, certainly, but it made overtakes more dramatic and therefore more fun.

I think my mind is made up, but I have had the Bandit for 5 years, she has never done a thing wrong, and I can't look her in the eye.

1250 Bandit looking for a loving home?

Not free though !! ha ha

It may be worth looking at the Versys 1000 too, I recently swapped a V 650 and a CB1300S for a big V and it seems to cover both bases pretty well.

Being offered a really good deal on the 650.

£7100 with interest free and panniers.

Couldn't run to a new 1000 now.  And I want a new bike !!

Just do it. I had a VStrom1000 before my first Versys. And I ride regularly with a couple of mates who have 1250 Bandits and lets say that I donít get left behind

Just do it Steve :152:  I also had a 1250 Bandit, and they are a good bike with a peach of an engine.  But they are a big lump of a thing, and I could never get comfy on mine.   The Versys is a superb bike, and if we are honest with ourselves is the only bike we would ever need.  :152:
What would you rather be, or a wasp?

:89:  with Geoff...the Bandit whilst a good bike, is now a bit of a 'yesterday' bike
