I'd be interested to see what people say.

Around here there are several Mk1s (08 and 09) that are listed for $3-$4K and between 4-22K miles (yes, 4 thousand miles), but they don't seem to be selling at those prices, i.e. I have seen them posted and re-posted on Craigslist for months.  My guess is that a realistic price would be $2500 for a nicely preserved example with some accessories (basically worthless, just makes it a bit more attractive than the next bike in the classifieds if you have nice add-ons).

Daz mate strip it all down, sell the bike for 1700 quick sale and the accessories on fleabay. You'll end up with about 2.5 all in ,move on as it's been cheap riding imo

Cheers for the honest replies it's what I wanted in all honesty my best mate bought a 07 v with 20k on the clock 6 months ago with only side panniers and heated grips and paid 2800 English pounds my bike is far superior and I personally think 1 of the most modified touring machines available I've just done a 2.5k tour of Germany.belgium.France. Luxembourg etc and it's been a belting bike chasing some serious machines over the ardennes mountain roads even tormenting them I love the bike but feel a change coming either a ktm or bmw

If it is such a good bike why the hell do you want to change it.
My much modified Mark 1 will go into my box with me I reckon.
I am surprised at those suggested prices I reckon mine is worth a lot less, but then it has nearly 60k miles on it.
Ted.
