Synthetic coolMax (or similar non branded) is the perfect base layer. It can be washed/rinsed anywhere, can be put on wet and wil dry in place in 10 min. Flows sweat away from skin but holds it where it will evaporative cooling you. Very handy to have and perfect base layer for long days on the road. I also use runners type synthetic T shirts as they perform better than cotton for the same reason. Avoid cotton as a base layer.

I love flying in egg beaters and I never ever worry about one of the propellers coming off and going through the cabin.

Have a blast!  We have every type of riding, road and topography you need, and I think you'll find that most of us here are very nearly normal.  *gun shots* *eagle screech*   :008:

Looks like a Q400.  I have racked up a lot of miles on those, as one of my projects in the CA central valley was serviced by a small regional airport, but there was a direct flight on from PDX on one of those.  I have seen these planes land in conditions that basically paralyzed everything else.  And if you sit in the front of the cabin, you don't have to worry about the props coming loose...   :007:
