France June 2018
« on: Jun 12, 2018, 10:01 PM »
I took a load of photos, they're up on my site at:  http://www.tankslap.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6699

Seeing as this is a Versys site, here are some photos where only the Versys features :)

We went to Calais, Metz, Colmar, Troyes and Lilles.

Stop over in Kent

Great pics and beautiful scenery, looks like a bit of road patching/repair  is required on picture number 10   :5:

Looks like a nice trip.  Great pictures!     :028:

Am I the only one that thought it was funny to see a bunch of English bikers hiding from the rain under a canopy?   :008:

I don't mind the rain and we were all kitted out for it.

But this was something else.  You couldn't see in front of you it was that heavy.  Plus we were on the side of a mountain.  There were streams of water running off the side across the road bring mud and rocks with it.  It was too dangerous to ride.

Where we parked the bikes was an open picnic building.  We decided to ride straight into the building and hide there until things improved.

We got to the hotel, turned the heating on and left everything to dry overnight.

Ok for the most part but very lacking when we were getting a move on. Overtakes were a struggle compared to the other bikes. It's a great tourer though.

Reminds me of good times. Been to a few of those places on the V.
