Welcome to the forum matey,i considered the Tracer when i was buying my Mk3 in 2016,the only thing that i could see the Tracer had over the Versys was a bit more bhp,the Versys offered better value overall when i weighed it up,a fully specced Versys GT cost less than the Tracer would have in standard spec so i went for another Versys,2yrs and 9500 miles later it's been another happy experience  :152:

Welcome, and like others very interested to hear you chose the V over the Tracer 900. I was thinking about upgrading to the Tracer but decided to upgrade my suspension instead.

YSS shock is on order.  PM me if you want a name and number for someone who gets them.  He might be able to get you a discount.

Welcome!

Great choice, I also looked at the Tracer and just like you got a full spec V gt for less than the Tracer GT.

It's a great little bike, more versatile than people give her credit for.

I use mine for exactly the same as you, and I can say that apart from the chain, I haven't had any issues with excessive wear after riding through the entire winter now.

A bugger to clean in parts though!

Enjoy and let's have some pictures when she arrives!  :37:
