Jack up/Higher seat?
« on: Jul 14, 2018, 09:51 AM »
Good morning guys & girls,

Could anyone recommend a solution to my seat height problems. I am looking to ideally boost it as high as possible - im assuming it'll have to be re-upholstered and wanted to know if anyone has any recommendations ?

Here was my solution to the same problem.

Not difficult but takes some patience. My biggest problem was finding foam of the correct density.

I have just used sussexmotorcycles, just down the road near Brighton. He is very good, puts in a much memory foam as you would like.  Think he only had one grade of foam though.  Probably close enough to see him to discuss before committing yourself.

I did not want the seat higher particularly, just more comfort, although it probably ended up 5-10mm higher(ie I can just notice it is a bit higher), but he took a lot of the original foam out first and put two inches of new foam in.
