Welcome Colin mate  :031:

You're a bit too young for this forum though mate. Average age is about 22 years older than you  :029:

Well, keep in mind I am skewing the average member age, since I am 117 years old. But I ride a Versys 1000... for some reason after you turn 100 you get it in your head to go to the liter bike. At that point, it's what the hell, why not?... :187: :007: :008:

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I also add that you have a wonderful looking bike.
I will also say that you would really benefit from some further training which will give you more confidence with the bike. Consider  Bikesafe, IAM or ROSPA  as a next logical step and soon as possible as they will give you a new set of confidence and training tools for riding the bike.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

Looking forward to getting on her at every opportunity (the bike lads, the bike)  :008:

Off to find a nice quiet industrial estate next week, practice slow manoeuvres and riding.  Definitely looking for a bike safe course, mate did one last year and thoroughly recommended it.

Iím assuming the annual meet up is for new and older members. Not sure if Iím staying, but will definitely get a day trip up there  :002:

I know the area well, used to work in Cadishead/ Irlam for a company based on the old steelworks site (turn right at the snowman  :008: ), they moved recently to Risley and I'm back with them again now.

Congrats on the new bike and welcome to the forum.   :031:

Hope you get to ride the Versys more than the previous two, so you finally can say you are no longer a new rider.  The Versys makes it easy to rack up those miles.  Just ask Rob...   :biker1:

That explains a few things.  But, man, you and Rob really look good for someone over 100...   :008:
