Agreed, Ted. But you'd make more money probably and it would be a gracious end. Think organ donation.
The alternative is to sell it to a stranger and worry that it won't be looked after, won't be appreciated, and will pine away in some ally or shed.
I'm just remembering some of the posts you've made about that bike, and the work you've put into getting it right. Needs an honourable end.
Of course if someone really worthy of it shows up, different story. Then you'd feel good even if you gave it away.
