« on: Mar 14, 2019, 11:01 PM »
Hi
Iím looking for a monokey top plate. I assumed wrongly that these would be easily picked from Ebay etc. but I havenít found one yet. Best price for a new one so far is £70+ unless anyone has an unwanted one?
Thanks

Yes Monolock top plates are cheaper because they hold lighter and smaller boxes. The box I have (courtesy of rvfbill) is a big 47ltr box, this needs a Monokey plate I believe and are a little more substantial therefore more expensive.
Thanks

There is very little difference between the M5 and the M5M plates in terms of construction.
It is for the different mounting points.

The Mono Lock is the older type and the boxes are not rated for such heavy loads as the MonoKey but I cannot see much difference in the mounting plate, I have one of each type.

M5 MonoKey

M5M MonoLock

I don't know exactly somewhere around 35 or 40 litres.
Big enough for two helmets.
