F800GS to Versys 650
« on: Apr 18, 2019, 09:34 PM »
Hello all,

I recently traded in my F800GS for a new Kawasaki Versys 650 SE. There's a baby (first) on the way in July and I won't be touring/ adventure riding anymore so i needed a bike that fulfils two main criteria: 1) a reliable commuter and 2) a bike for the occasional fun weekend rides. I'm still in my bedding in period (136 miles on the clock) but very much looking forward to opening it up the way i did the demo bike.
I'll probably be looking for advice on aftermarket add ons and general maintenance and look forward to chatting with you guys and gals about all things versys.

Andy

Welcome Andy, love the colour and you made a similar choice to me. When looking for bikes it came down to the F800 and the Versys. The Versys won on value and 7 years later I haven't regretted it.

You're local to me (Stroud) so if you fancy a ride out any time just shout.

:185:  to the forum Andy. You will no doubt find that the Versys is much more than a commuter bike. In fact the little fella is more than capable of all aspects of motorcycling.

A true jack of all trades bike, that is sure to put a smile on your face.

Good luck with the forthcoming happy event, and ENJOY both the bike and the new addition to your family.

Cheers  :031:   Geoff.   :152:
