Installed a TFX-141
3-way rear shock today.
It's got rebound as well separate high/low speed compression adjustments. They're still all at the default middle position. I adjusted the pre-load to achieve correct sag.
I'm a little concerned about the reservoir hose, which has a shorter reach than I expected and is hardly flexible. The connection on the reservoir side pivots though. I'll keep an eye on wear. I might aim a GoPro at it and hit some potholes to see what's going on in worse-case-scenarios. You might also notice i reversed the direction of the lower shock bolt - that allows me to remove the bolt in the future without dismantling the right footrest / brake pedal assembly.
Took it for a 2-hour ride through the local twisties and then into Capitol Forest where they'd just laid down fresh gravel. My favorite!
It definitely smooths out the bumps better than the OEM shock both on and off-road. The bike feels more planted in corners. I'll report back after I get some more miles on it.
