A big thank you from Geoff's bird.
« on: Jun 19, 2019, 10:39 PM »
Dears Lads and Lasses of the Versys 2019 meet.
A big, big thank you from Geoff's bird for your stupendous whip round for me  I am truely
staggered by your kindness to the old buzzard, as Geoff calls me..
I must apologise that i have not thanked you all earlier but tons of things have conspired against me to write sooner.
Geoff as you know has been away for a couple of weeks in Segovia and the Picos de Europa, so i have been painting the house whilst he is not here and getting all the normal jobs done without him under my feet.
On his return, he had along standing yearly commitment with some lads from Oxford who visit every year. Normally incident free but this year Geoff was almost killed when he got into a massive tank slapper after a rather large fat lamb jumped from a ditch and ran straight into the front side of the bike :lostit: :lostit:Having saved the tank slapper by some miracle, he surveyed the damage to his pride and joy and immediately got onto Cradley Kawasaki to order the new bits which the now very dead lamb had damaged.
Next morning I have to cart him off to hospital as he can't pee, catheter in situ we come back home to find it gets blocked twice over the next 2 days so as we speak we have been promised another procedure needs doing in the nether regions :033: to put him back in the loop again.I'm sure he will expand on all of this to you all but in the mean time, thanks once again from Me and KEEP SAFE. from Lyn (the old buzzard).

What would you rather be, or a wasp?

Lyn, you are epic! :152:

Look after that old goat for us and send him my best wishes. Not sure how much he'll complain about the nurses fiddling with his tallywacker but the damage to his bike must smart a little.

Lamb dinner every night for a few weeks?

A big thanks Lyn from the Geordie posse (plus the silly boy from Ireland) for looking after after us and keeping Geoff in check. Hope he's on the mend as it's his round next... All the best from  Dave the quiet one.  :028:
