I've looked at these, can't make my mind up, not sure if I'd have to remove for winter ( as I have a heating pad in my seat), but seen I can get one from ebay for a fiver, so ordered it, I'll let you know how I get on with it.

For those that have the sit n fly. How is it on the paintwork?
I got one last year after reading about them on here but I haven't used it as it seems quite abrasive to the touch. I fitted it to the seat but it looked like it would have rubbed/scratched the paintwork where the seat and tank meet and also on the painted rear plastics.
I didn't want to risk it.

The cheaper 5 ones are only 3mm to 5mm thick and fall apart quite quickly  :192:
The one from S&F is about 8mm thick and has lasted me for the last 10k miles / 3 years  :028: :028:

I just covered the tank and side panels where it may rub with some 3M Clear tape - Has been OK for the last 3 years  / 10k miles  :028: :028:

ordered friday arrived this morning, five minutes to fit, about 6mm thick, off riding tomorrow so I'll see if it's any good.
