Versys 650 practical additional buys
« on: Jul 09, 2019, 07:19 AM »
Hello all, Due to come back to Verys 650 again. What would you recommend that i fit additional to standard set up GT that would enhance the riding experience? I travel in Europe a few times a year with mates if that helps? Cheers Tony

All the usual for comfort - Hand guards, panniers, mud flaps/guards, sat nav, and maybe a good service.

In addition to those if touring, I would add

Peg lowering links.
Bar risers.
3D mesh seat cover (Sit&Fly) - Cools your butt in hot weather.
16 tooth front sprocket OR 43 tooth back sprocket.

don't know the GT spec, but I'd add on top af what others have mentioned, engine bars and handguards, front seat spacers, 12v socket and a "bigfoot".

I recommend the $20 Main Throttle Position Sensor testing adapter. Setting the TPS properly totally changed the riding experience on my Versys650.

I've never tried the mesh seat cover but I swear by the beads :)  https://www.beadrider.com/
