I have a 2009 ABS Versys (UK) and just ordered some new genuine Kawasaki brake seals (front brakes), when they arrived I noticed the main seals and the dust seals were too big by a few mm.

What is confusing me is that the part number looks right.

- 43049-1055
- 43049-1096

A few years ago I also re-did the brakes, and pretty sure I ordered the same seals, and they were fine...

I wonder if the piston sizes changed (maybe around the mk2 or mk3), and the part number got kept?

---

Rough measurements:

Current:
- Inner: 25mm
- Outer: 30mm

New (don't fit):
- Inner: 30mm
- Outer: 35mm

Looking back through you previous posts it looks like you have a 2008 ABS Versys model

There fore you need the 2007/2008 parts :-

43049-1068 - PACKING
and
43049-1092 - PACKING,PISTON SEAL

As detailed in the "Versys 650 Mk1 Parts cat.pdf" - 2007 to 2008 version located in an online folder HERE  :028:

Ahh indeed! Thanks for the reference to the parts list :)

It's been so long, I really thought I had an 09 model (registered in 09 at least).

But yeah, thanks again for this :)
