Center Stand Cornering Clearances
« on: Nov 05, 2019, 08:29 PM »
Has anybody had any cornering scraping of their Versys 650 aftermarket center stand.? Has the center stand held together well, or has it required any repairs/adjustments? What is your recommended brand to go with?

I don't think you have that many options left, SW-Motech and T-Rex Racing are the only ones I remember still offering stands for Mk1 and 2.  The T-Rex is (was?) cheaper and it's adjustable for height, which would be useful for folks who have lowered or raised bikes.

I had never heard of the t-Rex company Gustavo and when I checked the website the adjustable main stand. Looked just right but sadly they say it's not compatible with lowered footrests so sadly it's a no no

Just as a side note, I received my Constand this evening and was suprised at the weight, on the one hand it's solid and heavy duty (nice), but on the other it's 5.3kg..... :5:

Does anybody have a center stand for sale which would fit a 2009 Versys 650? I've tried to contact Motea (great price, but) several times without success. Their USA phone number is worthless and they don't respond to e-mails. I could take a shipment to either Yakima, WA 98902 or Gainesville, FL 32608.

Can't help you with a center stand, however I did order one from Motea for my 2016 versys and looked at the one for my 2009, both were the same price, didn't buy the 2009 one; but did the 2016 which took just under a weeks to arrive, I got an Email noting dispatch and expected arrival, didn't need to speak to anyone there, but then again, I didn't need to, I don't think they have any info on delivery to the USA (it's mainly Europe) on their site, so can't really help you there either, you can message them here https://www.motea.com/en/contact/, which might get you what you want to know.
