Possible fake site for Denali products?
« on: Nov 27, 2019, 11:02 AM »
In the interests of sharing - and to possibly avoid anyone making a mistake - can I ask whether anyone has successfully purchased Denali products from this site?

It doesn't seem legitimate to me?

Contact page only shows a mobile number and the mobile number does not ring.
The team photos show up all over other web sites on a Google image reverse search (I thought they looked too pretty!)
Google street view does show a new(ish) building at that address. It seems like a residential area.
Companies house shows a single director.

It could all be fine, but well... hive mind is what this forum is about, right?

The company number on the page (11511750) is legit and relates to:   MOTORCYCLE SUPPLIES LIMITED based at the same address. The address is real but it's probably just a virtual registered office address as there are many more businesses registered at the same address (although this is not unusual).

However, that does not mean that the website is real as the details could be spoofed.

I agree the team photos are naff and were probably the stock photos that came with the website site template.

What raises my concern is that they don't seem to be an official distributor of Denali products as there's a list on the Denali website:

I agree, think I'd have some reservations without seeing some happy customers.

Might be worth getting hold of trading standards if it turns out dodgy.

Ditto "Share" for tell,  "Perfect" for thanks or o.k.

A friend of mine is so fed up with his adult kids texting rather than phoning that he keeps his text replies short.

"Hey Dad, how are you? What's happening?" gets the reply "Good. Nothing"

The address is an accountant's office.
Their prices look cheaper than R&G so I'm not sure where their margins come from.

This is the best page. I'd like Jessica to help with the fittment please. I'm happy to do the 500 mile round trip.

Read the customer reviews! They have the same names as the team :008:

It's more likely to be a "boilerplate" website with pages the owner may not be aware of?  :027:
