2007 Versys 650 right side fairing
« on: Dec 07, 2019, 07:57 PM »
Hello guys!

This is a pretty slim chance but if anyone has an upper right side fairing for the 2007 Versys 650 (mk1) in the burnt orange candy colour in decent condition, I would love to know.

Here is a link to an image of it:  https://images.qmuchomarket.eu/images/en/images/g/oDYAAOSwaAxamc13/s-l300.jpg

Thank you!

Thanks for the reply.

Rare as hens teeth, probably as well to suck up the first one you see in good condition and get them both repainted.

If you intend keeping the bike maybe just bite the bullet and order a new  un.        www.cradleykawasaki.co.uk

My fairing is not excessively damaged, but it suffered quite the scratching. I might have an easier time repainting it and ordering new stickers.

The problem really is matching the paint, this is an ambitious colour. Painting it costs me the same amount as buying a used one, judging by the prices I saw for that colour scheme on pieces that were already sold on ebay etc.

So I figured I might spend some time looking for one while the bad weather is in. Otherwise, I might repaint it because even if I buy a new one, it still won't match the colour, the time passing really does it's number.

Forget the stickers as it look better without them - and also why not sand it smooth then wrap both side covers to look the same, say in black  :027:

Or, if you repair it paint it white.  White is the best colour to hide imperfections in accident repairs and dodgy paintwork.  :152:

If I remember rightly on here , yellow seems to be the best colour for a factory finish seamless repair.  :027:
