Hi there ! from jolab14 in Quebec-Canada.
« on: Dec 22, 2019, 03:40 PM »
Just to say hello since I just joined the group.

Last week I traded-in a Z900RS Cafe 2018 for a brand new Versys 650 2018 (I had a pretty good deal). I also own a KLR650 2006 but I felt that the Versys was the perfect crossover between a sport bike a dual-purpose like the KLR (driving position speaking, I know that the Versys is not a dirt bike in any way, nor is it as sporty as the Z900). However, for our rough road in Quebec I am quite sure it is going to be great.

I have not yet decided if I will let the KLR go, that was the original plan, but I still have to make up my mind for sure. I have 4 winter months to think about it :-(, but part of the pleasure is in anticipation, is'nt it ?

 :185: to the forum jolab.

I'm sure that the Versys will do any job that you need it to do.  It's bomb proof reliable, comfy, frugal and lots of fun to ride.

Enjoy.     cheers  :031:   Geoff.

Hi Jolab,  and welcome from Nova Scotia.

When I bought my '08 Versys I found that both the KLR and the Ural I had hardly got used anymore, and two years later they were both gone, as was an FJR.  Meanwhile the '08 V rides on, showing about 235 000 km with very few problems.

Hope you have as much luck with yours.

 Rob.

Congrats on the new bike and welcome to the forum!   :031:

To ease those winter blues, maybe a little spring/summer ride planning is in order?   :notsure:
