Which accessory holder?
« on: Jan 11, 2020, 10:45 AM »
Hi All,

Picking up my new (to me) versys 650 next week, it's got this accessory adapter\holder installed already, anyone know what make and model this is and what it can be used for?

Looks very much like a bracket used with one of these universal sat-nav / phone holders.

A bit strange, but it looks like a previous owner has kept the case but forgotten to remove the bracket. Might be nice to see if the previous owner wants it back? They are plenty cheap enough to buy but it would be difficult to find the exact brand to fit that holder, most are cheap Chinese knock off's.

And you'd want your £500+ smart phone on a plastic bracket that costs 3p to make why exactly?
File it in the B 1 N

I never said it was a good idea, just that's what the bracket looks like.

I use a dedicated motorcycle sat -nav and mount.

Itís a dry lock phone case mount for motorcycles. I use it and itís very stable at 70mph. Iíll post pictures a little later when I get home.

Danger danger do not use these without a lanyard attached to the phone holder. Even the oxford ones  break with the Versys vibration. Even string will do to keep it secure.

I have to disagree!

This is the one I have and used at the NVM without issue. I use this all the time.
Oxford product and stable once clicked in.
Fully waterproof.
