Hi from Flying Banana in Devon
« on: Jan 12, 2020, 08:22 PM »
After the obligatory mid-life crisis and persuading 'er indoors that I should learn to ride, and then passing my bike test in November, today I picked up my 2015 650 Versys, I will let you guess the colour.
Really pleased with it so far on the ride home, not that I have much to compare it with. Apart from the BMW FS 750 the school had for the Direct access the only other bike I have really ridden was a MZ 50 moped I had when I was 16, the Versys has a bit more power than my MZ had  :008:
Going through the paperwork that came with the bike it also looks like it was A2 restricted last August, not sure if it was taken off so it might go even better than it did coming home.
Lets hope we get some good riding weather
Cheers

Welcome to the forum fb.

Lots to like about the little Versys,  a Jack of all trades bike.

Plenty quick enough for sane folk, comfortable, with a bomb proof engine, and as reliable as an axe.

I wish you many happy miles together.

Cheers Geoff   :152:

Hi and welcome to the forum.

A great all round bike to own. Take it easy until you fuly understand what it can do in the way of performance etc. It will take time to learn it.

Good choice, Great bike!

there's a few others on here that have had the V as their first bike, it's a popular first bike. There's plenty more that have come back to the little V from bigger bikes too, which is testament to it's versatility.

Built really well and will do anything from commuting to globe trotting and most in between, hope you have lot's of happy miles together!  :37:

Don't forget to post a picture too, it's the rules!   :192: :001:

First off I hope that the bike is everything that you hoped for.  Also much credit to you for turning out in all the right gear, well done.

An added bonus for you will be that that colour of Versys is already almost a collectors piece.  Very few in that colour were sold, not sure why really, I really like it.

Enjoy       Geoff.
