Hi from Beans in Stockport
« on: Feb 01, 2020, 09:26 PM »
I'm the owner of a new-to-me gen 3 versys 650. Im based in Stockport, rainy centre of the UK. I've been riding bikes for just over a year since passing my test and my other bike is a big inline 4 cylinder Honda cbf1000.
The Honda is the only other bike I have ridden since my DAS, and so I am now getting used to the difference riding the twin cylinder versys: lots of engine braking, gear selection important, buzzing, decent fuel economy, etc etc. Second ride out today.
If anyone can recommend somewhere for servicing and maintenance round here that would be great. She has 10k on the clock so I think the next service is close.
Anyway hi all,
From
Beans

 :185: to the forum Beans.

There is lots to like about the Versys, it's a lot of bike for not too much money.   I'm sure that you will be more than happy with it.  Lots more character than the CBF.

I mostly do my own servicing, but if there is anything that I don't feel that I am capable of tackling,( valve shims)  :lostit: I take mine to MCO Orrell, which is not too far from you.

I hope that you enjoy the new bike.

Cheers  :031:  Geoff  :002:
