Greetings from the New Guy in Virginia, USA
« on: Mar 14, 2020, 10:18 PM »
Hello All,

I'm new to the forum and new to the Versys. Just bought my beautiful 2011 2 weeks ago today.  My previous two bikes have been cruisers, but I discovered the Versys in online searches months ago, and fell for it. Finally found my baby for a great deal and in great shape. Only ~12k miles (~19k km).

I've already put a few hundred miles on her, and in very happy with my decision. I've mainly been a weekend rider, but I'm aiming to try to commute with her often as well and have the car home as often as I can.

Glad to see an active forum for this amazing, if mostly unread of, motorcycle.

Lovely looking example of the Versys!
Great find and glad you're pleased with her.

I'm sure she will continue to impress!

Great idea to commute more miles on the V = more smiles  :2: and the V is very much a do it all motorcycle and she'll take pretty much whatever you can throw at her, enjoy!

Loads of great advice and some banter on here, so hope you enjoy the forum as much and well done for posting picture straight away  :37:

That looks like a really nice bike.  Was it equipped like that when you bought it?

Congrats on the new bike and welcome to the forum.   :031:

Congrats on a great bike, you have the BarkBusters now you need the SW-Motech crash bars

They saved my bike when I dropped it at zero speed.

Thanks!  For the most part, yes. Only thing I've really added so far is the top box.

Well, she already has some engine cage bars. Not sure of the brand, as they were already installed.

Looks very good. I didn't know that the Mk2s ever came in red.

 Have fun.
