My Baby is a Little Whiney. Anyone else?
« on: Apr 04, 2020, 03:59 PM »
So 2011 650.  I noticed it first about a week or so ago. She names this whining noise when I'm done with a ride and she's turned off. I feel like I even caught it when I hadn't just ridden. Anyone else?  Ideas?  Does it over and over again for a little while.

Sounds like air releasing from the fuel tank.

You could test this by opening the filler cap and seeing if it stops.

If it does clean out the breathes.

Yep - that is air pressure adjusting in the fuel tank. Quite normal on the Versys.

Mine did it all the time.

Every Kawi I've had has done it. It's just the way they talk to you, Friendly like. Glad they don't bark or purr 'tho.
