G'd Evening from sunny Wales
« on: May 13, 2020, 08:49 PM »
Thanks for having me.
Picking up a 2010 Versys tomorrow, hope they're as good as everyone says they are  :001:

I'm downsizing from my TDM850 and wanted something smaller, similar but a little more fun in the slower twisties and it was either a BMW F650 or a Versys. Well... here I am  :152:

Hello mate, I reckon that youíll be pleased with the bike. I downsized from a Ducati Multistrada to a Mk3 650 and havenít missed the bigger bike much. Horses for courses and all that.
I'm sorry, really bad reception here, you said your name was Dr. who?

I used to have a BMW F650 and you made the right choice. The eager twin  :celebrate: is far more fun than the sullen single .
Sometimes it takes a winding road to get your head straight.

Although off road I would choose the F650, it was almost like a submarine for crossing a river....

Good morning Grumpy, and  :185: to the forum.

You can't go far wrong with the Versys, it's a proper do it all bike.  Lots of fun to be had on a bike with a bomb proof reliability record.

Lots of folk on here, that for many different reasons have been forced to choose smaller lighter bikes, me included.

Most of us never regret the change. After all we are still enjoying our motorcycling.

I hope that you glean lots of pleasure from your new bike.  Enjoy.

cheers :031:   Geoff  :002:

I grew up in the Mumbles and learnt to ride around the Gower.
Whilst you do have an ugly V it will be blinding around there.
