Hi I after a mk2 frame 12--14plate  just found out that mine is a cat c and the dealer I purchased it off has closed down,  had it  6 yrs  my own fault I did not hpi it as getting off a dealer thought  would  be ok, frame  required hpi clear please , only found out mine was cat c as was going to px for a mk3, was offered 800 quid, its only done 9000 mile. to good to break

you may already know, but its not illegal to ride a Cat C, as long as it has MOT, my 1st Versys was a Cat D, but obviously it will be worth less, is your V5 stamped as CAT C

Hi Wal thanks for reply v5 is not marked up as cat c, its just the dealer I was going to px did a check it came up as cat c,  up till then I was unaware phoned my insurance up about it they did not have a problem,  I still don't have a problem riding it etc, just thought, if I got a non cat frame swap all over to it, it would be worth more for a px, if I cant find one no problem as I will keep the bike or sell it private as a cat c, cheers once again

you hit the nail on the head, ref money back etc, just gonna have to decide, past six years I have had it its been brill, just fancy a change, when I found out  I was gutted don't know why, as its still the brill bike i been riding,
