Hi all
Well a gel pad and a sheepskin and the bike looks like it has grown a hairy monster but ooohhh the feeling of comfort. Will be taking a longish ride out next week and (I never thought I would say this) will report on the feeling of my bum.
Take care everyone.

Only a Northerner can enjoy a wet sheepskin - and they take eons to dry. Longer than a hair shirt.

If they dont reply, open a dispute with ebay. Ebay can see all correspondence between you and the seller.

I'm not so hot with computers and I'm finding it impossible to send it back as there seems to be a load of bullsh#t on the site but nothing like a simple address so I will chuck it in the bin and give up on the idea altogether

Jim I have a sit & fly that I took off my 09 Versys that you can have for free if you pay postage. It won't fit on my new bike. :028:

This  ^^^^^^

Before you do anything else, you need to level the seat.  Since you have are 6'4", raising it would be a no brainer while you have the cover off.  After that, you add either that sit-&-fly cover or a set of beads and Bob's your uncle.  Lowered pegs help with comfort too.  I have done both, as has Rob (his seat is taller than mine, so you don't so much bed your knees on his bike, you just lower yourself a little into the seat...   :015:  Granted, I am not 6'2" or 6"4", so maybe you people actually sit on it.   :008:

Here are Rob's creations for the Mk1 and 2:

Mine is raised and leveled, but you can still actually see the step between the rider and pillion:
