Hello There
Just joined the forum myself and they seem like a friendly bunch :-)

According to google 174cm is 5 feet 7 inches

I just bought a Versys mk1 and I am approx 5 feet 6 inches or just over and 13stone in weight
I can reach the ground with both toes but not able to put my feet flat on the ground
If I lean slightly over on either side I can get most of a foot comfortably  on the ground

But I think you would really need to go and sit on one to be sure

There are lowering kits available to lower the bike down
And also you can get a lower seat but both options will cost you some money

i'm nearly 5ft 8 ins and its too tall  as standard for my liking, a lowering kit will take it down 46mm iirc, that may be suitable for you, ive cut my seat down about 30mm as well, i can nearly flatfoot now

much more confidence when its lower

My favourite Son is 5'8" tall and never had a problem riding my Versys even when it had the Kawasaki +1" seat fitted. My previous bike Yamaha XT660 was just tippy toes for me and I'm 6' tall, (No1 Son rode the XT without any worries)  it never bothered me in the slightest It's about being confident. Without that confidence I'd say don't try riding any bike'

The Mk1 I bought at the weekend has a home made lowering kit on it.
The guy I got it from was an engineer before he retired and has a machine shop in his garage and it looks sturdy enough.
I will be taking it off at the weekend if I get time.
Free if you pay the postage.
