There are numerous small compressors for Motorcycling which take up very little more room than a few gas cylinders when bundled together.
Makes a more sensible option.

Plugs done right will be fine for the life of the tyre
Hey Clunky
I must have made a pigs ear of it  :-)
Was loosing about 10 psi a week after plugging it
But hey it was my first time
So took the wheel off and threw it in the boot and brought it out to a well known Dublin bike shop
Must say I was only there about 20 mins and was sorted and back on the road home
The tyre was 7 years old so probably needed to be changed anyway
Went with the pilot road 5 for 180  :goggle: could have got 4 tyres for the polo for that
But I wont complain as I was stuck and they were out of tyres for the v so they let me have someone else's tyre who was due in next day :-)

"could have got 4 tyres for the polo for that"

Yup, bikes are no longer cheaper to run that a small car.

Don't take Life too serious, it's not permanent.

Long gone are the days when you bought a bike because it was cheaper to buy and run than a car. Don't think bike tyres can cost that much more to produce than car tyres and they only do about 25% of the mileage before needing replaced. Total fkn rip off comes to mind.

I think that it may have been that the Nail kind of went in sideways and when I was reaming it out for the plug you could see the metal reinforcing of the tyre so maybe the glue does not stick too well to that
Typical me could not just have a normal puncture :-( If there is a hard or easy way I will always end up doing it the hard way
