Sargent Seats
« on: Sep 18, 2020, 10:37 AM »
Does anyone have any experience of Sargent Seats?
I have a 2019 model V, and like a lot of folks, I am getting pushed forward on the seat. I have put seat risers in, but I am not keen on the look.
Does the standard Sargent seat stop the forward slide?

They are good, but a much cheaper option is to send your seat to www.cmseats.co.uk and in a week they will modify it to how you want it for just over 220.😁

I have had one of there's for 11 years now - it is like sitting  on a good armchair. As Jonster can testify when we swapped bikes for a run last Monday in Leyburn 😎🏍️

I have also just have them modify my V1k seat the same way - Std height, raised front and seat position moved back by 1" (25mm)  :123A:

I put one on my 2015.  Much better than stock *for me* but not ass nirvana, and a bit pricey.  Still glad I made the change though.  If I were more than 5'9" I would've gone for a Russell Day Long.

I'm looking for a new seat and I quite like the idea of a heated one...well, I did, until I saw the price on that Sargent website!!    I'd still like one, but it's going to be a matter of saving up for a a while!  Quite a long while!

Seriously thinking about getting this done. Biggest problem is not being able to do without the bike for a couple of weeks🥵

Can I ask why you moved the seat position back? Is it to reduce the angle your legs are bent at?

I managed to get a Tony Archer seat off ebay for 70, it only has a tiny tear right on the edge/underside. Thicker foam, no more sliding up the seat and a couple of inches lift for my lanky legs.

It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
