Lust lowering kit
« on: Sep 30, 2020, 08:23 PM »
Is there any reason why I canít use the lowering block on a bike fitted with a centre stand?

Non what so ever if you shorten both the side stand and the centre stand leg lengths.

mines lowered with Lust link, sidestand is normal, its a bit upright and not perfect, but it is useable, it would work with a centrestand, ive done it on a few bikes, but its harder to get it up on the stand

Last weekend I fitted the lust lowering link to my V also
Bit of a confidence boost being able to get a bit more leather on the ground after dropping it last week breaking the clutch lever  :027:

Got a new lever and changed the cable while I was at it

Bit of a job getting the lowering link in while trying to lift the rear of the bike on yer own but a few smacks of the rubber mallet ( persuader ) helped it along
Dropped the front forks by about 20mm also

Side Stand is still stock length as the driveway is pretty steep and gravel so the stand always sinks in a bit anyway
Just need to slacken off the chain just a little but have a new front sprocket and washer to go on anyway

Also got the box of shims and the silicone grease for the coils oh and a pair of vacuum gauges to balance the carbs

So if only the polo would stop sucking up all my time I might get round to a few more jobs ( steering rack ) :-(

I wish I used more sophisticated adjective than "deeper". Maybe "sophisticated".  :138:
