MotoGP - what a season!
« on: Nov 22, 2020, 06:00 PM »
Lack of trackside fans aside, this season gas had everything.

No dominant riders or teams or bikes... the races were there for the taking.

Breathtaking action almost every weekend once the season got underway. Pundits predictions were way off the mark. Who predicted KTM on pole, Suzuki being consistently fast, novice riders beating established champions and the satellite teams faster than the full factory.

All through the classes were top racing and not much predictable.

I was sad to witness Crutchlow's last race too. I like him and think he's a great ambassador for UK racing.

Last thought - Rossi, you've earned your pipe and slippers, about time you used them.

Yep, it's been a good season....lots of hungry riders out there.  :028: It needed a bit of a clear out.  :notsure:

Surprisingly enjoyable season given the circumstances, however I think Marquez would have won easily if not for his injuries. Rossi should have taken the chance to retire gracefully after his close call earlier in the season, nothing to prove and everything to lose and he has many opportunities off the grid for fun and excitement. Glad Cal has retired from GP racing, he's proved himself plenty of times but too many crashes lately and hopefully he can help Yamaha back to the top. Roll on next season.

Sad thing that Andrea Iannone received four-year ban.
Cal and Andrea were my favorite riders. Before them, Sylvain Guintoli .

Listening to the BT Moto GP commentating team, it sounded like his arrogance got Iannone the chop.  :notsure:

Suprised Crashlow held his seat for so long, he was never going to be a GP champion over the past 5 years, to may crashes . I always think he was a bit like Colin Mcrae, genius, super fast but cant keep it on the track, if he had he would of done better. At the same time sad to see him move on as his was the first name I looked for over a MotoGP weekend and  kept some interest for me. No one really to follow now, all a bit bland, the Marquez brothers i suppose, Rossi with all due respect is a spent force and no idea why he is doing what he is , there just isn't anyone of them that hooks me in.Bit like F1, Hamilton is unbelievable but I just dont take to him, nor any of the others.

I enjoyed watching one season without conflicts. Also, very mature young riders. Especially Rins, Mir, Morbidelli, Miller and Oliveira. Didn't care who wins.
