JB Plasticweld Epoxy
« on: Dec 02, 2020, 06:27 PM »
I had a recent disc lock accident, took the reminder cable off got distracted pulled the bike back in the workshop and knocked a piece out the front mudguard leg, must be an age thing. I now keep a brick behind the tyre as a second line of defence. Anyway the reason for the post is to recommend J B PlasticWeld Epoxy this stuff is super strong (after 24 hours) can be sanded and filed. I ground down both edges of the break with a Dremel tool and glued from both sides, sanded then a very thin layer of plastic padding, two coats of plastic primer, two coats of black. Found the Kwak transfers on ebay, the repair was perfect but really fancied the yellow transfers, finished off with two coats of clear lacquer. I can pull on the repair and flex the leg with no ill affects.
Brian.

I knew you'd be the first to comment Stewie (Master craftsman) I've noticed  since the yellow transfers the bike goes much faster, just as well with all the ladies chasing me, the price of owing a yellow one. :152:
