Vario foot pegs
« on: Apr 07, 2021, 07:27 PM »
I would like to know if anyone has used these foot pegs lowering kit.

https://www.sportouring.co.uk/shop/comfort-ergonomics/footpeg-kits/mfw-footpeg-kits/mfw-vario-footpeg-kits-extension-arms-and-footpegs/mfw-vario-25-to-50-mm-extension-arms/

The seem to have a variable length from 25 to 50mm which is a good fearture.

Will they fit Versys 650 year 2011?

Regards,

Navin

Hi Navin

I used them on my 2007 Mk1. Very easy to fit and it's handy that they are adjustable. I have a feeling that they are 25mm on the front pegs and 50mm on the rear. If you fit them you'll need to adjust the gear and rear brake levers - but that's all straightforward.

I ended up getting hip surgery so reverted back to the original pegs. I have the hardly used vario pegs which I'd be happy to sell on but you'd need to check that they will fit a 2011 V.

Cheers

Tim

Thanks for the response Tim.

So, seems the product comes in 2 sets - one for the front and other for the back.
The website has very less info. I have send an inquiry email but no response.

25mm on the front seems too less for the modification.

How much price do you expect in case i decide to buy from you?

Regards,

Navin

Hi Navin

I paid £135 and used them once for a 10 mile ride - so like new. I would sell them for £85 posted. If youíre interested I can take pictures tomorrow.

I think the reason why itís 25mm at the front is because if it were significantly lower youíd be likely to ground the pegs when cornering. Although they didnít work for me, because my hip was so far gone, itís surprising how big an impact 25mm has on knees and hips.

Cheers

Tim
