Back on Kwak
« on: Apr 08, 2021, 07:58 AM »
After 5 years in the wilderness I'm back... well a lot closer than previously...

I have ordered a z650 this time.

I have been riding a zx6r but went out last week on it for the 1st time in a few months and scared myself sh1tless. I know the throttle works both ways... like I know that fitting an unrestricted exhaust over winter would release a little more poke. Geez. It's an animal

At 55, I'm packing in full craziness.

Having ridden locally over lockdown on my 250 Super Sherpa, I now know that I do not need 125bhp to have fun. 70bhp will be sufficient for the foreseeable.

I get my z650 in a couple of weeks... they looklike a bit of fun.
Comes with farkles built in...LED headlight  and indicators, the tft dash looks good too.
I will have to reacquaint myself with downpipe polishing!

Nice choice! I rode a z650 whilst doing my DAS course and absolutely loved it!

Plenty of poke to still get you to silly speeds!

Nice one  :028: I'll look out for you.

Do you change your undies as often as your bikes?
I want to retire, no longer required,
I want to get by without the man on my back.

Wouldn't say no to a Z. They're getting waspier and waspier looking. I was going to say I prefer the Z's of 10 years ago, but when I went to look.... well maybe not.
Your 650 looks better than the current 1thou, IMO  :123A:

Have fun  :028:  :celebrate:

68bhp, so same power - 25kg lighter though...
Less wind protection,  obviously.  Not as upright either.
I'll give an opinion when I've broken it in.

Do you change your undies as often as your bikes?

I bought some Rohan underwear. It's expensive, but you can wear the same pair for a week or more with no ill effects.

I hope that answers your question.

I guess you are thinking
week 1 normal
week 2 back to front
week 3 inside out normal
week 4 inside out and back to front.

The phrase the springs to mind is ripe.
Or perhaps mature.
