You can't blame Richard for trying to suppress the truth.  I understand it's hard for him, as I doesn't have a true superior Mk1.  No doubt, '09 Mk1 (even in that awful grey) is a very good bike, but the only superior one is the RED one.  :211:

He's becoming sort of like Trump, almost a year after he lost the election, he still goes around saying he won it, bigly...     :lostit:

Thank you uralbob for your opinion regarding the handling.

I have only seen near me next generation mks that would accelerate  slower than mine on straight roads for several kilometres so I concluded that the 1st generation is a bit stronger in terms of engine power but I may be wrong . A lot of parameters like gasoline quality, engines condition , transmission/chain sprocket efficiency, riders determination , aerodynamics and so on could lead to faulty judgements . The difference may be unnoticeable..
For sure though black is the fastest among all generations 😀
