Good man and good work.

The link says you can have side cases and top box. I'm pretty sure my cases are OE so I wonder if this is the top case rack to use. If it is clearance to accommodated both seems lacking.

PS I realise TM is the king pin for this week ends sortie. Fortunately no rush, this bike has become a bit of a project.

Yeah, that OEM side case rack with the built-in handles caused a lot of headaches to Versys owners in the early version.  It is possible to fit both, but it requires you to make some mods to the side case rack.  Unless you are handy with a grinder and welder, it may be easier to simply buy one of the aftermarket racks from SW-Motech, etc.  Especially these days when some of those make it on Flea-Bay for pennies (compared to what they cost back in the day).

Having said that, I didn't see a picture of the one fitted to your bike Topbox.  Is it the same as in grumpyoldgit was showing in the other thread?  If it doesn't have the built-in handles, it should work.

This photo malarky is way too complicated for me. Anyhoo, the links are photos of the pannier racks on my bike. They look a bit scabby because they are. I picked up the bike cheap and its become a bit of a project. In hind sight not cheap enough. Apologies for the faff in viewing the photos but thats the limit of my brain power.

I quite like the idea of SW Moteck rack as SW Motack quality is usually high. If they can be made to fit how would I do it.

Hey TB,

They are the oem racks. With no modifications you would need Givi 447fz rack arms to be able to fit a Givi plate and top box.

I did the same to my mk1 this week. It is a slight faff to fit but does come together great 👍🏻

A note on the 447fz racks though - Iíve had a nightmare trying to get hold of them. The original uk supplier I ordered from added a 4 week delay, then a 5 week delay on the 4 week expected date. Now another three week delay to the already 9 week extension. Have since cancelled the order and requested a refund.

I did manage to get the last set a European supplier had in stock which was delivered in 10 days.

I also had a third order from an Italian motorcycle shop in Napoli which is due to arrive next week which I will be listing to sell on eBay. Though if this is something youíd want let me know and Iíll put here first.

Hi  Ste,

I am very interest in your "spare" rack. please let me know when your ready.

I already have a mounting plate for a Kappa topbox and the top box to go with it taken from a previous bike but as Givi and Kappa are the same for  all intents and purposes I'm assuming all will be well.

Here is a photo of my mounting plate.

I look forward to hearing from you

Hey TB,

Iíll let you know as soon it gets here. There was an issue on their side with the tracking number but have confirmed it has been in transit and should be with me early next week.

Will keep you posted.
