Arse biscuits and a lot of other swear words
« on: Sep 16, 2021, 05:21 PM »
So my Rocket is currently totally shagged and doesn't work at all.
I took it back to Triumph so they could just replace a few sensors, flash the ECU and everything would be finished.

Now when I rode it back home last week there were no issues. When I rode it to them earlier today there were no issues.
The ham-fisted bunch of neathderthal sh#t eaters managed to destroy it and now it has to go back to the Triumph factory for them to look at.

The dealers have very graciously (in their view) given me their Africa Twin demonstrator for the weekend.
But it is hateful, absolutely horrid.
I was seriously considering not coming this weekend but Triumph have found a demo Rocket 3 for me.
It will hopefully be delivered at some point tomorrow morning and then I will ride to Wales and see where I meet up with everyone.

Keep going with the hissy fits then, you'll get there.

Ps feel your pain, once bought a 2nd hand gpz900 and two days before an epic tour of Europe the cams went, dealer said don't worry about it, call in when your back, REALLY red mist came down and 30INS later had a 2 year younger GPZ 750 with 1200 on the clock and a few keep me happy touring goodies thrown in for free.
Can't see that happening today

Consider yourself lucky, Stewie.  Other people that had problems with a rocket ended up dispersed over the upper atmosphere, it could have been worse.  You didn't even end up in a ditch this time.  Having to ride an Africa Twin for the weekend is not such a bad outcome in the grand scheme of things...   :211:

In other words, put your big boy pants on and deal with it...

Interesting that a Triumph dealer gave you a Honda to replace your broken down Rocket

Sorry to hear this, Stewie.  :003:

I understand that the Japanese are building moderately reliable bikes these days.  :180:

Hope you make it across to Wales anyway.  :028:

Bloody hell.

Bet that has sickened you Stewie.

At least you are still rolling along with the Onda.

Just try and enjoy the weekend, and forget about your woes till next week.

It could be far worse.  You could be up at 02.30 with more waterworks problems. Wondering if you are going to the NVM, or A&E.   :019:
What would you rather be, or a wasp?

I was up at 0230 but my water works issues were easily solved by having a pee.

I hope everything is OK and you get to choose the former option and stay away from the latter.
