Heated grip wiring (again probably !)

Folks . Iíve Just fitted a set of heated grips to my newly acquired 2012 650. Not wishing to wire them straight to the battery, I have read about various methods of getting power to the grips, and utilising a relay in the ďsystemĒ.  Iím not particularly electrically  minded but basically Iíve temporarily spliced into the two front headlight wires for the grip power. Iíve got what I wanted (ie power to grips only when the bike is runningÖ. As per the lights). Given the bike lights have obviously got their own relay (and Iím using that for the grips also), should I also employ a second relay (for just the grips?). .

    Thanks all

There's a bird on YouTube whose channel is called biker stuff. Once you've taken your eyes off her tits she has done a couple of excellent videos on relays.

Basically the relay is operated by a v small current which activates a big current for your grips. So you could take the feed off your rear brake .ight for example.

I find her a lot better than Delboy whose qualifications some would question.

    That's Rebecca's alternative new channel 🤔😎
There doesn't seem to be a lot of support for them / or they have gone flat / not been pumped up recently

    A little distracting alright  :008:

I added heated grips last year and connected them directly to the battery they were the oxford ones with the auto shut off and had no issues so far
