MK2 headlight

The alloy housing is loose in the plastic so the headlight flickers. I suspect the fixings points for the beam adjustment are knackered. Is it possible to repair the sealed headlight - pry it open and superglue it or something? I ordered a pattern headlight but the H7 bulb wouldn’t fit due to a design flaw so that’s gone back. I need to fix this somehow.
